We hear it every year, "New Year, New Me" we hear it so often, it tends to blend into the background. Studies estimate more than 80% of resolutions never come to fruition. We say we'll do something then some thing else happens and we put it off.
Then we make other excuses and we put it off a little longer, eventually forgetting about it until oh hey! "This is the year I can make this happen"!
Maybe it's putting in a deck, or expanding the deck. Maybe a bathroom remodel so no one has to squeeze sideways between the vanity and the tub in order to get to the toilet. Maybe it's just ripping up that dated flooring, painting the cabinets to make them look new again.
The real reason so many people don't accomplish their resolutions is that they try to take on to much and tackle everything on their own. Asking for professional help instead of "I read it on the internet" does no one any good when you're standing in water after trying to put in that new toilet by yourself.
So this year, do it differently. Ask for help! It won't hurt you. It may end up saving you a lot of time and money, and help you turn your "New Years Resolution" into a reality.
Use Google to help you research local contractors rather than "how to"! Most companies will be happy to provide a free estimate, can answer basic questions or even provide a recommendation if warranted.
So if you are hearing yourself say the same thing year after year, let this year be the one that changes the trend. You'll thank yourself for it later.
