Benchmark Construction was established in July of 2008, but the owner, Carl Sells, has home remodeling and construction experience that goes back more than 35 years. Having worked in residential new construction, he learned the intricate components of a complete construction process from first dig to final walkthrough. Carl takes a very hands-on approach to each construction project, no matter the size.

 

Since establishing his own construction business, he’s had a wide range of renovation projects from a simple home remodel (like built-in shelves) all the way to build-from-scratch home construction. Carl is also able to do both residential and commercial projects, although residential has always been his sweet spot. He specializes in additions such as decks and garages as well as remodels from bathrooms and kitchens to a full basement project.

 

His experience includes:

• Carpentry of all kinds: framing, trim, & cabinets as well as the whole home building process

• Estimating and obtaining materials

• Establishing strong, trustworthy working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
